By installing or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Shopify Store Data
When you install our App on your Shopify store, Shopify provides us with the following:
- Shop domain (e.g. examplestore.myshopify.com)
- Access token (to authenticate API calls)
- Basic store information (name, email, currency, time zone)
1.2 Webhook & Usage Data
We subscribe to standard webhooks (e.g. app/uninstalled, scopes_update, GDPR) to manage installations. We also log:
- App usage events (button clicks, feature settings changes)
- Error and debug logs (to troubleshoot issues)
1.3 Cookies and Session Tokens
We use Shopify App Bridge session tokens and may set secure, first-party cookies in your browser to maintain your logged-in state within Shopify Admin.
2. How We Use Your Information
- App functionality: Authenticate requests, render the chat widget, and manage settings.
- Configuration & Support: Load your saved button settings (colors, position, message) and provide troubleshooting.
- Analytics & Improvement: Analyze aggregate usage to enhance features, fix bugs, and improve performance.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your store data. We only share information in the following cases:
- Service providers: Third-party hosting (Render), logging, and analytics tools—under strict confidentiality.
- Legal requirements: To comply with law, respond to legal process, or protect rights and safety.
- Shopify audit: If Shopify requests verification of our compliance with its Partner and GDPR requirements.
4. Data Retention
- Active installations: We retain your store's access token and settings as long as your App remains installed.
- Uninstallation: Upon receiving the app/uninstalled webhook, we delete your session records and any personally identifiable data within 30 days.
- GDPR requests: We honor requests to redact or erase data as required under "CUSTOMERS_REDACT" and "SHOP_REDACT" webhooks.
5. Your Rights
- Access & Portability: You can request a copy of the data we hold about your store.
- Rectification & Deletion: You may ask us to correct or delete your store's data at any time.
- Data Requests: Send your request to support@azdigitalinc.com.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard safeguards (TLS encryption, secure session tokens, least-privilege access) to protect your data in transit and at rest. However, no method is 100% secure—please notify us immediately if you suspect any breach.
7. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for minors under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the new "Effective Date" here and may notify you via email or Shopify Partner announcements.
